The Kerry Way

The famous Kerry Way walking trail passes a mere 250 metres from Blackstones House. A 214km trail travelling in a loop around Kerry’s Iveragh Peninsula, the Kerry Way is a hugely popular trail for walkers and ultra runners alike. We offer B&B with dinner, packed lunch and luggage transfers for those wishing to undertake the route.

Local Walks

Privately owned Blackstones Oak Wood (20 hectares) is a marked walk. It is the habitat of the rare moth, ‘the White Prominent’. Glencar and Caragh Lake are the only places in Ireland, England, Wales and Scotland where the moth resides.

Lickeen Wood
There are three marked walks closeby – Lickeen Loop, Castle Rock Walk and Kerry Life Loop. All walks are relatively short, the longest being Kerry Life Loop at approximately 3.1km.
